JUST beCAUSE 04/15/2009

We've made it successful last Christmas season. Let's do it again. Tulong tulong tayo! Wag ipagdamot ang 30 bucks. Dagdagan nyo na rin pagdating dun. As always, we shall be transparent. Papakita namin pics during the feeding program after... - KARA

PS.

Guys, we'll post pics of the FIRST CHARITY GIG called Music beCause that we held at Jack's RIdge that was in conjunction with the Polar Depth album launch. It was a smashing success, and all the bands participated for FREE. That's how amazing the power of support is! It was featured also on Muzika del Sur and Abs-cbn, including the feeding program later on by the musician volunteers. Just so you can see what the first take was like. We encourage everyone to support this second foray into the spirit of generosity! We can change the world if we truly want to. FIGHT! :) - Jad

Light Night 04/03/2009

Hi kids. We're currently cooking up a fresh serving of music for everyone. Hopefully, beginning after the Holy Week, we'll be having an acoustic / light night every Wednesday or Friday at the Durian Bar. What we plan is actually to have bands or solo artists play acoustic or go "unplugged" for that night. Diba? Para maiba naman. Para medyo magaan naman sa utak. Ultimate bakasyon utak trip to. To clarify, we are not inviting acoustic artists only ha. We are inviting anyone who can or who wants to go acoustic for that night so even if your band plays metal but you CAN and WANT to play your songs acoustic, ayos lang! Por exampel, Go La Go: they're not an acoustic band or light for that matter but for sure they can tone down. Gets? So there, hopefully this becomes succesful  too. Don't worry kids, your favorite tiny toon (Jad) will be a staple. Hehehe.
Peace. Love. Music.

Yowza, how's everyone doing? So we've got Tunog Timog up and running and we've got the insanely talented pro comic illustrator John Amor working on our Header Image art (wag ka, mahal tf niya buti na lang libre satin!), but any kind of contribution is needed and welcome! For our ART section, if you're a graphic artist with some work you wanna spread some Tunog Timog lovin over, send em to us and we'll put em up!

I'm tryin to work out getting more band profiles so I can write em up, but it's comin, it's comin. :) Chillax lang tayo. The Features page will focus on in-depth thoughts by Davao Musicians, and I'm thinking, how about we interview mr ass-kickin Chuck Fournier of Mutiny fame? Idol ko to e. Hindi pa naman final. Anong sa tingin ninyo? Make suggestions about whose brain you wanna see picked.

Tunog Timog is crazy pleased to see support this early into the site's creation! Alangan, tayo tayo lang din naman to eh! Tuloy tuloy na to ha! Bantay lang mo. Hehe! - jad
